Other Information
This program is designed for the child interested in performance or technical aspects of theatre. Campers are placed in age-appropriate groups supervised by high school and college-age counselors under the direction of adult professionals.
This summer’s day camp production, The Nifty Fifties., features a variety of performance opportunities for boys and girls. Theatre campers spend half the camp day in rehearsal and half the day in fun, interactive workshops on a variety of theatre-related topics taught by local experts and experienced instructors. Informal, non-stressful auditions held at the start of camp will determine appropriate placement of every camper within the production. Please note: due to the nature of theatre, all conflicts or planned absences during the camp program must be listed on enrollment form. Significant planned absences will have an adverse impact on casting decisions and are strongly discouraged.
Tech campers will focus on the technical support that brings the magic on stage to life: lighting, sound, sets, props — under the direction of a professional theatre technician. The focus is on theatre education, emphasizing group cooperation and fun!!!
Registration begins March 1. Enrollment is limited (there was a waiting list last summer). Payment in full due at registration (partial payments cannot be accepted). Payments are made to Voorhees CER and applications submitted to the CER program by mail or in person at the Voorhees Middle School CER office, 1000 Holly Oak Drive, Voorhees.
