Voorhees Theatre Company is a 501(c)(3) community theatre organization. VTC’s mission is to offer performance and educational opportunities to artists on stage and behind the scenes and to bring audiences professional-caliber performances within and beyond the walls of the theatre. Our organization is well known for educating and nurturing young performers and for offering performance and theatre opportunities to local artists of all ages.  VTC offers a safe harbor to all participants who want to explore the arts.

To fulfill our mission, Voorhees Theatre Company typically produces the following programs each year:

Spring

Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre

  • High school students direct, rehearse and perform a murder mystery.

Master Performance Classes

  • Broadway teaching artists coach students on acting, dancing, and vocals, customized for ages 12-18

Summer

Theatre Program

  • Performance – Open to children entering third grade through 8th grade, the six-week, Monday to Thursday program features rehearsal for a full-length musical production and workshop training from area theatre professionals
  • Technical Theatre – Open to children entering 7th grade through 10th grade, the camp teaches young people the disciplines of technical theatre, including set design and construction, lighting, sound, and stage crew

Young Adult Musical

  • Open to those entering high school through age 22, the program rehearses Monday to Thursday evenings in the summer, culminating in a full-length musical production in August

Autumn/Winter

Full-length musical theatre production

  • Open to performers from ages 8 to 88
